(A Deceptive Cult)
Before we begin this article, let us ponder on this scripture:
- 1 Peter 5:8 KJV - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
According to the "Church of Almighty God," also known as Eastern Lightening, Jesus was incarnated again in China to begin his ministry 1991:
"Two thousand years ago, when Jesus became flesh, He was persecuted and arrested by the Roman government and the Jewish faith, and in the end He was crucified. In the last days, since God returned to flesh in China to do the work of judgment, He has been cruelly persecuted and hunted by the CCP government, and also cursed, framed, condemned, and rejected by all denominations of Christianity. It is a clear indication of man’s corruption and evil. We can imagine how hard it is for God to carry out His work in such a fortress of demons, where black clouds weigh heavily and devils wield power."
A False Christ Religion
This cult believes that God has returned to earth in the flesh again in China to sift out the sheep from the goats, and to give new Revelation to man. They say that Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives in China. They also believe that the Kingdom of God is now on earth, and that unless people accept their Revelations they will not be raptured and saved. According to their website (link here), Jesus has returned to Earth in China to begin judgment in the "house of God" and new Revelation was received:
"In 1991, Almighty God, Christ of the last days, began to officially perform His ministry in China. Then, He expressed millions of words and began the work of judgment of the great white throne in the last days. Just as Almighty God says, “The work of judgment is God’s own work, so it should naturally be done by God Himself; it cannot be done by man in His stead. Because judgment is the conquering of the human race through the truth, it is unquestionable that God still appears as the incarnate image to do this work among men. That is to say, in the last days, Christ shall use the truth to teach men around the earth and make all truths known to them. This is God’s work of judgment” (“Christ Does the Work of Judgment With the Truth” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). “God does the work of the word in the last days, and such words are that of the Holy Spirit, for God is the Holy Spirit and can also become flesh; therefore, the words of the Holy Spirit, as spoken of in the past, are the words of the incarnate God today. … For God to speak utterances to carry out work, He must become flesh, else His work cannot accomplish His goal” (“How Can Man Who Has Defined God in His Conceptions Receive the Revelations of God?” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). Because of the appearance and utterances of Christ of the last days, ever more people who thirst for and seek the truth have been conquered and purified by the word of Almighty God, and have seen in God’s judgment and chastisement the appearance of God and the return of the Redeemer."
Without knowing scripture, this could be very decieving to the ordinary lukewarm Christian. Another bait tactic that they use is through their "Christian" movie titled "Yearning" which can be viewed here:
I watched their "Christian" movie called "Yearning." The movie is very deceptive and manipulative, and it wasn't until later that the damnable heresies began. The movie showed a Christian man was taken to prison for standing for Jesus at work and found new Revelation that God has returned in the flesh again. This revelation came from someone in the Church of Almighty God cult. The movie recites many verses out of context, and twist them for their own heretical narrative. They movie shows their are new books needed for the Kingdom of God on Earth now.
They say Jesus will not return with great power and glory from Heaven but that he came secretly to separate the sheep from the goats, sort of like how the Jews rejected Jesus the first time. They say the kingdom will gradually be restored on earth, over time, and peace will eventually be restored to all of earth. After a period of time, all things will be restored and purified and thus defeating Satan, according to them.
This narrative is so contradictive to the word of God (Holy Bible), and the prophetic events to come, I do not know where to begin.
This cult is an attempt by Satan to over throw the faith of true Christians in these last days before the AntiChrist is revealed and the wrath of God is poured out. It seems they want you to abandon sound doctrine and follow their new Books, similar to 7th Day Adventist's Ellen White, the Mormon's Joseph Smith, and the Jehovah Witnesses Watchtower. These are all false religions that contradict and twist the word of God (Holy Bible).
Jesus Warned Us
Jesus Himself told us to be careful of false prophets and false Christ's and that we will know it's Him when He returns because He will have great power and glory for the whole world to see:
- Matthew 24:23-30 KJV - Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. [24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. [25] Behold, I have told you before. [26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. [27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. [29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
We also know the second coming is prophesied in the Book of Revelations:
- Revelation 19:11-16 KJV - And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. [12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. [13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS .
Jesus will return AFTER the final AntiChrist and the False Prophet establishes rule over the entire earth with a one world religion, one world government, which will require all people to recieve a mark in their hand and forehead and to worship the Beast (Revelation 13-14). We know from scripture that Jesus will spare His bride from the wrath of the 7 year Tribulation (Revelation 3:10). We also know that this event is called the rapture and clearly shows we will be transformed into a new body and taken up to meet Jesus in the air:
- 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
This is a separate event than the Second Coming of Christ when He returns to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14).
- 1 Corinthians 15:52-54 KJV - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
We also know that the ones left behind will have to be persecuted by the AntiChrist, and will be martyrs. This is the final sifting of the sheep and the goats before Jesus returns. Jesus will resurrect the martyrs upon His second coming so that they can reign and rule with Jesus for the Millinneal Kingdom on Earth:
- Revelation 20:4-5 KJV - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

This final 7 year period is laid out in Daniel 9:27, and midway into the 7 year period the AntiChrist will go into the New Temple in Jerusalem (Matthew 24:15) to commit the Abomination of Desolation (2 Thessalonians 2):
