Hell Study
Jesus clearly says those who do not confess and turn away from sin and receive Him as Lord and Savior are destined to a place called "Hell." This is because He is a just God, and will reward everyone according to their deeds, unless they have the righteousness of Christ by accepting His atonement Sacrifice on the Cross as the Passover Lamb of God (Isaiah 53), and following His commandments.

What is Hell?
Perhaps our western Christian understanding of hell has been confused by translating various words that mean different things into only one word (hell).
I am a firm believer in a literal hell, a place of everlasting torment, and this article presents the reasons why. Even though it seems there are different stages of hell, they all seem to be one form of torment and punishment for sinning against a Holy and righteous God.
May we heed the words of Messiah and beware of those who translated the text:
- Mark 12:38 KJV - And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
* I've noticed there are some bad translations, and some translation choices can be misleading. It is good to have an interlinear Bible app to study the Greek and Hebrew original words.
In some instances, the Bible uses Hell which refers to the Lake of Fire as referenced in the Book of Revelations, which is the final judgment. I believe Jesus speaks of that here:
- Mark 9:43-44 KJV — And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell (Gehenna - G1066), into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
- Matthew 18:8 KJV - Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting (aiónios - G166) fire.
According to the Strongs Concordance, it appears that the word "hell" is often derived from the Greek word Geenna or Gehenna:
- G1066 - Geenna - Hell is the place of the future punishment called "Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire". This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction.
- Revelation 20:11-15 KJV — And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell (Hades) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
I believe this "lake of fire" or Gehenna was alluded to by Jesus in this parable:
- Matthew 13:40-43 KJV — As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Also, I believe John the Baptist spoke of this same "Hell" translation:
- Matthew 3:11-12 KJV — I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
* It seems that the lake of fire is the final judgement of all souls not saved by the blood of Jesus and living godly in Christ, and is the punishment for the transgressions of the ungodly. Just as the poisonous tares (weeds) are burnt after the harvest, so will the ungodly after the Final judgement with unqenchable fire, and I believe it is forever.
This passage seems to indicate that the soul can be destroyed or punished forever in the lake of fire?
- Matthew 10:28 KJV — And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell (G1066).
* It seems this final judgment is everlasting fire in torment away from God Almighty and the true Christians.
This passage seems to indicate that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire after the Final Judgment:
- Revelation 20:10 KJV - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
This shows us that Satan was cast into the fire as a consequence of much sin and a repayment of suffering he caused.
The Book of Enoch also seems to reference the Great White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20 when Death and Hell are cast into the Lake of Fire:
- 1 Enoch 51 - 1. And in those days shall the earth also give back that which has been entrusted to it, And Sheol also shall give back that which it has received, And hell shall give back that which it owes. For in those days the Elect One shall arise, 2. And he shall choose the righteous and holy from among them: For the day has drawn nigh that they should be saved.
- 3. And the Elect One shall in those days sit on My throne, And his mouth shall pour forth all the secrets of wisdom and counsel: For the Lord of Spirits hath given (them) to him and hath glorified him. 4. And in those days shall the mountains leap like rams, And the hills also shall skip like lambs satisfied with milk, And the faces of all the angels in heaven shall be lighted up with joy. 5. And the earth shall rejoice, And the righteous shall dwell upon it, And the elect shall walk thereon.
Isaiah Spoke of Gehenna?
The book of Isaiah, in the last chapter, indicates that after the new heaven and Earth there will be the carcases, dead bodies, of the sinners and it appears the destruction will not cease. It seems this is after the Revelation 20 Great White Throne Judgment and after hades and death are cast into the Lake of Fire, which I believe is Gehenna:
The other "hell" mentioned in the New Testament appears to be the same as Sheol of the Old testament:
This referenced "hell" or "hades" appears to be the pit, the dark holding place of wicked souls until the final judgment. The same place where Jesus preached to the spirits in prison while He was dead for three days, I presume.
The root word "hades" is defined as follows according to the Strongs Concordance:
The New Testament "Hades" appears to be the same thing as "Sheol" in the Old Testament. In the Strongs Concordance, the hebrew word for "hell" is often from the root word "sheol" as follows:
Does Forever Mean Forever?
Biblical scripture references an "eternal hell" and most believe that this will be torment forever, as in infinitely (everlasting) unending. I would say that is the case:
The word "everlasting" is from the greek root word "aionios" and is defined in the Strongs as:
The book of Isaiah, in the last chapter, indicates that after the new heaven and Earth there will be the carcases, dead bodies, of the sinners and it appears the destruction will not cease. It seems this is after the Revelation 20 Great White Throne Judgment and after hades and death are cast into the Lake of Fire, which I believe is Gehenna:
- Isaiah 66:22-24 KJV - For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord , so shall your seed and your name remain. [23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord . [24] And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
Is Sheol & Hades The Same?
The other "hell" mentioned in the New Testament appears to be the same as Sheol of the Old testament:
- Acts 2:31 KJV — He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell (G86 - Hades), neither his flesh did see corruption.
This referenced "hell" or "hades" appears to be the pit, the dark holding place of wicked souls until the final judgment. The same place where Jesus preached to the spirits in prison while He was dead for three days, I presume.
The root word "hades" is defined as follows according to the Strongs Concordance:
- G86 - Hades - From G1 (as a negative particle) and G1492; properly unseen that is "Hades" or the place (state) of departed souls: - grave hell.
- Thayer's Definition - name Hades or Pluto, the god of the lower regions, or Orcus, the nether world, the realm of the dead. The later use of this word: the grave, death, hell.
- In Biblical Greek it is associated with Orcus, the infernal regions, a dark and dismal place in the very depths of the earth, the common receptacle of disembodied spirits. Usually Hades is just the abode of the wicked, Luk 16:23, Rev 20:13, 14; a very uncomfortable place. (TDNT)
The New Testament "Hades" appears to be the same thing as "Sheol" in the Old Testament. In the Strongs Concordance, the hebrew word for "hell" is often from the root word "sheol" as follows:
- H7585 - Sheol - Original Word שׁאל שׁאול - Transliterated Word: she'ôl she'ôl
- Strong's Definition - hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranian {retreat }) including its accessories and inmates: - {grave} {hell} pit.
This word sheol defined above was used in this passage and translated as "hell":
- Psalm 9:17 KJV - The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Does Forever Mean Forever?
Biblical scripture references an "eternal hell" and most believe that this will be torment forever, as in infinitely (everlasting) unending. I would say that is the case:
- Matthew 25:46 KJV - And these shall go away into everlasting (aiónios: G166) punishment: but the righteous into life eternal (aiónios: G166)."
- G166 - Aionios - Strong's Definition - perpetual (also used of past time or past and future as well): - eternal for ever everlasting world (began).
- Thayer's Definition - without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be; without beginning; without end, never to cease, everlasting
The above definitions for G166 are the common understanding, yet other sources reveal an alternate meaning that confuses the understanding in my opinion:
- Strong's Full Definition: age-long, and therefore: practically eternal, unending; partaking of the character of that which lasts for an age, as contrasted with that which is brief and fleeting.
Because some sources define "everlasting" or G166 "aionios" as possibly a finite age-long period of time, some wonder if hell is everlasting. Yet, I believe scripture makes it clear that "sheol or "hades" is age-long, meaning it exists until the Great White Throne Judgment at the end of Revelation 20. However, I believe that the Lake of Fire, which I believe is called "Gehenna" is the second death and lasts forever, meaning without end.
The "eternal" word used for age-long or perpetual hell is also referenced here in a different context:
- Matthew 24:3 KJV - Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age (aiónios: G166)?
- Matthew 25:41 KJV - Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting (aiónios: G166) fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"
Defining The Term - for "Ever"
Many times people look at the root word for the translated word for "ever" which in the greek is "aion." The root word is also used for "age" and is defined as follows:
- G165 - αἰών - aiōn - Strong'sefinition - From the same as G104; properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future): - age course eternal (for) ever (-more) [n-]ever (beginning of the while the) world (began without end). Compare G5550
- Thayer's Definition - 1. For ever, an unbroken age, perpetuity of time, eternity,
- 2. The worlds, universe,
- 3. Period of time, age
While some people may try to say this translation of "age" only implies a limited amount of time, the definitions seem to imply an everlasting quality. This is also observed in this passage:
- Revelation 14:9-11 KJV — And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
It certainly seems that the fallen angels, Satan, and the sinners not saved by the blood of Yeshua (Jesus) will suffer in the lake of fire for an unending period, everlasting suffering.
Hell & The Angels That Sinned?
In Genesis 6, it seems to tell us how the "sons of God" mated with the daughter of man and thus created a hybrid race called the Nephilim or the Giants. That narrative is paralleled in the Book of Enoch 1, known as Ethiopian Enoch:

For information concerning the validity of the Book of Enoch, please see my article here:

Here we see in Enoch 1 that Enoch sentenced the Angels who sinned, as they were bound, and I supposed sent to sheol:
- Enoch 13 — [1] Then Enoch, passing on, said to Azazyel: Thou shalt not obtain peace. A great sentence is gone forth against thee. He shall bind thee; [2] Neither shall relief, mercy, and supplication be thine, on account of the oppression which thou hast taught; [3] And on account of every act of blasphemy, tyranny, and sin, which thou hast discovered to the children of men. [4] Then departing from him I spoke to them all together; [5] And they all became terrified, and trembled;
We see some other parallel text in the New Testament Bible concerning these fallen angels whom left their first estate to mate with women of the earth:
- Jude 1:6 KJV — And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
- 2 Peter 2:4 KJV — For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
The word "hell" in 2 Peter 2:4 is only used once in the King James Version Bible and is translated from the greek word as follows:
Strong's Number: G5020
Original Word: ταρταρόω
Parts of Speech: Verb
Strong's Number: G5020
Original Word: ταρταρόω
Parts of Speech: Verb
- Strong's Definition: From Τάρταρος Tartaros̄ (the deepest abyss of Hades); to incarcerate in eternal torment: - cast down to hell.
- Thayer's Definition: the name of the subterranean region, doleful and dark, regarded by the ancient Greeks as the abode of the wicked dead, where they suffer punishment for their evil deeds; it answers to Gehenna of the Jews to thrust down to Tartarus, to hold captive in Tartarus
Also, the Book of Enoch (Enoch 1), seems to be referencing the lake of fire judgment that happens after the Great White Throne Judgment in Revelation 20:
- 1 Enoch 54.6 - And Michael and Gabriel, Raphael and Phanuel - these will take hold of them on that great day. And throw them, on that day, into the furnace of burning fire, so that the Lord of Spirits may take vengeance on them for their iniquity, in that they became servants of Satan, and led astray those who dwell upon the dry ground.
Daniel's 70th Week - Angels Loosed?
It seems as though some of these angels, or perhaps evil spirits, will be released out of Sheol, perhaps described as the "bottomless pit," and will go into the earth during Daniel's 70th Week, which is the final 7 year tribulation before Jesus returns:
- Revelation 9:1-11 KJV — And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
After the Bottomless Pit is opened, and Abaddon and his scorpion locusts are released to wage war with the ungodly who have not the seal of God YHVH in their foreheads, it appears that four mighty Angels are released from their prison. This 6th Trumpet Judgment, involving the four Angels could perhaps be the angels who sinned in Genesis 6 and 1 Enoch, who were bound with chains since before the flood. If this is the correct understanding, I imagine they would be quite angry and vengeful upon release:
- Revelation 9:13-15 KJV — And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
Satan Bound?
It appears that Satan, the Devil, is also cast into the Bottomless Pit, which is probably Sheol, when Jesus returns after Daniel's 70th Week, until after the Millennial Kingdom of 1000 years expires:
- Revelation 20:1-3 KJV — And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
I'm not sure If Satan will be in Tartaros or another part of the bottomless pit, which I believe is known as Sheol.
Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire after the final judgment.
Christ Was In The Heart of The Earth?
The New Testament Apostles revealed that Jesus descended in hell (Hades) upon His death:
I believe Jesus died for every man, and whosoever will accept Him as LORD and savior will be saved. I believe that includes those who existed and died before and after He was born to virgin Mary, died on the Cross, resurrected, and ascended to Heaven.
It's possible just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale (hell) for 3 days, so was Jesus in Hades for 3 days. Jesus said:
* Book of Ephesians implies that Christ descended into Sheol/Hades:
- 1 Peter 3:18-19 KJV - For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: [19] By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
- Revelation 1:18 KJV - I am (Jesus) he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
It's possible just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale (hell) for 3 days, so was Jesus in Hades for 3 days. Jesus said:
- Matthew 12:40 KJV - For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
- Ephesians 4:7-9 KJV - But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. [8] Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. [9] (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
Flat Earth and Sheol?
The Bible talks about a bottomless pit and I assume it is in the middle of the earth, according to the scripture "belly of the earth." This seems contradictory if we truly lived on a globe ball earth that spins 1000 mph. Yet, I tend to believe in the Biblical Flat Earth model.
It appears that Hades/Sheol have various layers or places reserved for both the sinful man and the angels who fell into sin:
We see that "tartaros" is also used in relation to "hell" and relates to the lowest part of Sheol.

It appears that Hades/Sheol have various layers or places reserved for both the sinful man and the angels who fell into sin:
- Ezekiel 31:16 KJV - I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.
This "nether parts" that Ezekiel mentions seem to be what Prophet Enoch wrote about:
- 1 Enoch 22 - 1. And thence I went to another place, and he showed me in the west ⌈another⌉ great and high mountain [and] of hard rock. 2. And there were †four† hollow places in it, deep and very smooth: †three† of them were dark and one bright; and there was a fountain of water in its midst. And I said: '†How† smooth are these hollow places, and deep and dark to view.'
- 3. Then Raphael answered, one of the holy angels who was with me, and said unto me: 'These hollow places have been created for this very purpose, that the spirits of the souls of the dead should assemble therein, yea that all the souls of the children of men should assemble here. And these places have been made to receive them till the day of their judgement and till their appointed period ⌈till the period appointed⌉, till the great judgement (comes) upon them.' 5. I saw (the spirit of) a dead man making suit, and his voice went forth to heaven and made suit.
- 6. And I asked Raphael the angel who was with me, and I said unto him: 'This spirit which maketh suit, whose is it, whose voice goeth forth and maketh suit to heaven?' 7. And he answered me saying: 'This is the spirit which went forth from Abel, whom his brother Cain slew, and he makes his suit against him till his seed is destroyed from the face of the earth, and his seed is annihilated from amongst the seed of men.'
- 8. Then I asked regarding all the hollow places: 'Why is one separated from the other?' 9. And he answered me saying: 'These three have been made that the spirits of the dead might be separated. And this division has been made for the spirits of the righteous, in which there is the bright spring of water. 10. And this has been made for sinners when they die and are buried in the earth and judgement has not been executed upon them in their lifetime. 11. Here their spirits shall be set apart in this great pain, till the great day of judgement, scourgings, and torments of the accursed for ever, so that (there maybe) retribution for their spirits. There He shall bind them for ever.
- 12. And this division has been made for the spirits of those who make their suit, who make disclosures concerning their destruction, when they were slain in the days of the sinners. 13. And this has been made for the spirits of men who shall not be righteous but sinners, who are godless, and of the lawless they shall be companions: but their spirits shall not be punished in the day of judgement nor shall they be raised from thence.
- 14. Then I blessed the Lord of Glory and said: 'Blessed art Thou, Lord of righteousness, who rulest over the world
• Enoch the Prophet?
Enoch also writes about a cursed valley for the ungodly which might be liken to the place discribed at the end of Isaiah 66:
- Enoch 27:1. Then said I: 'For what object is this blessed land, which is entirely filled with trees, and this accursed valley ⌈⌈between⌉⌉?' 2. ⌈⌈Then Uriel, one of the holy angels who was with me, answered and said: 'This⌉⌉ accursed valley is for those who are accursed for ever: Here shall all ⌈the accursed⌉ be gathered together who utter with their lips against the Lord unseemly words and of His glory speak hard things. Here shall they be gathered together, and here shall be the place of their habitation.
- 3. In the last times, in the days of the true judgement in the presence of the righteous for ever: here shall the godly bless the Lord of Glory, the Eternal Kin. 4. In the days of judgement over the former, they shall bless Him for the mercy in accordance with which He has assigned them (their lot).'
- 5. Then I blessed the Lord of Glory and set forth His ⌈glory⌉ and lauded Him gloriously.
This appears to be the place for angels who married woman and gave life to the Nephilim:
- Enoch 19 - 1. And Uriel said to me: 'Here shall stand the angels who have connected themselves with women, and their spirits assuming many different forms are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray into sacrificing to demons ⌈⌈as gods⌉⌉, (here shall they stand,) till ⌈⌈the day of⌉⌉ the great judgement in which they shall be judged till they are made an end of. 2. And the women also of the angels who went astray shall become sirens.' 3. And I, Enoch, alone saw the vision, the ends of all things: and no man shall see as I have seen.

Vision of Hell: “I was in that terrible place of torment.”
APRIL 20, 2017
APRIL 20, 2017
For several weeks now, I’ve contended with the Spirit of God dealing with my heart about the message of hell. As Christians we preach, teach and sing of the splendors of Heaven and eternity with Christ, but do we also have the same passion to tell men that although hell was never made or intended for man, many, in fact most will spend eternity in that dreadful place?
Yet the American pulpit does not warn. It largely stays silent about this more than uncomfortable topic.
I received a vision last night, which came on the heels of sensing the Lord telling me to start warning people, and a conversation I had with one of my closest friends, who is not a professing Christian. After this conversation, talking about end times and the return of the Lord and eternity, I was literally grieved in my heart because there appeared to be no urgency in the man nor fear of what may face him.
There seemed to be an odd dread as I laid my head on my pillow last night. A strange sense of fear seemed to grip me that was very unusual. Being a Police Officer for many years, I was somewhat accustomed to dealing with my own fear, often having to run directly into a situation that others were fleeing away from.
There seemed to be an odd dread as I laid my head on my pillow last night. A strange sense of fear seemed to grip me that was very unusual. Being a Police Officer for many years, I was somewhat accustomed to dealing with my own fear, often having to run directly into a situation that others were fleeing away from.
The entire vision and all that I saw was amazingly detailed, but I do not have a sense at this time to share everything. I will point out some of what I saw, felt and heard.
First, it is absolutely a place, as described by Jesus, of “outer darkness”. It is a place completely devoid of hope, completely absent of light. The fires and the smoke could be seen literally, and the screams and cries of torment and fear could be heard literally.
I saw men who had given themselves to pleasure and perversion who were now reaping the rewards of their earthly deeds, yet without satisfaction. I saw and experienced the fear and torture of knowing that the place where you now dwelt was your eternal destination and without recourse.
I saw gangs and those who held tightly to racism reaping the rewards of their hatred and murder. I saw demons tormenting those who had ended up in this place. I saw people desperately trying to escape, trying just to move, to change the outcome, but knowing deep in their heart there would be no escaping.
I saw the endless cycle of what appeared to be another day (without light or time), another struggle, another torment and that without remedy. It is impossible to adequately describe the sense of ALL hope being gone FOREVER. It is impossible to capture with words the KNOWING that you have entered your eternity and it will be forever and it will be godless and it will be without light, without hope, without loved ones, and without escape!
The thought screams in your head, “Oh My God!, I’m here in this darkness for ALL ETERNITY, WHY? WHY? WHY? Why did I not choose differently? Live differently? Why did I not cling to God and Jesus when I had the chance and NOW, hopeless beyond any hope I am separated from ALL that I love, and ALL that loved me for ALL eternity!”
I remember grabbing my head in fear and panic, which felt like inescapable insanity. I remember seeing others, some who were famous, and most of them could not fathom that they ended up here.
In God’s mercy, he allowed me to view these things to send the warning to others. I awoke to my own screams, sick to my stomach, but I will NEVER forget the last thing I heard as I was in that terrible place of torment, it has seared my heart and mind forever…
A man who had given his life to gain that which God had not chosen for him, for he chose his own way. His tormented screams were ear piercing and even now they pierce my heart as I can still hear him crying out loud with pain and remorse:
“THIS is not LIFE, THIS is not life AT ALL!!
THIS is HELL! We are IN HELL!!!!!”
